Introduction

Marenakos Rock Center Fabrication Department is a little known, but extremely useful resource for completing many types of stone fabrication. Our shop has been involved in countless projects varying from small residential custom fire pits with simple cuts and basic finishing to large municipal artworks requiring complex cuts and multiple finishes. Our experience, knowledge and skill allow us to assist with design of complicated projects or to make just a few simple cuts, if that is all the project requires.

Our stone fabrication artisans love to take on custom projects that require a lot of “figuring out” and we take pride in our craftsmanship. We’ve worked with architects, home owners, artists, designers, and contractors from all over the country. Our Saws

Jaguar

This is our Jaguar bridge saw – This is operated manually or programmed to efficiently cut a series of specific lengths and depths. This saw is generally used for the more simpler cuts on the different materials we use here – ranging from slabs to even 6″ thick steps.

Cougar

Meet our Cougar Saw, an older yet dependable tool in our arsenal. It’s primarily used for simple, straightforward cuts on slab material. Though it’s not as advanced as some newer models, the Cougar Saw is reliable for daily tasks, efficiently handling basic cuts on a variety of materials.

Voyager XP

Welcome to the latest addition to our workshop, the Voyager Saw. It’s a game-changer in our fabrication process, offering a suite of advanced features such as continuous arc blade cutting, incremental routing, and straight line profiling.

The saw also specializes in detailed tasks like faucet coring, 0-90° mitering, and both mild and sharp radius cuts. With its wide-ranging capabilities, the Voyager Saw is an indispensable tool for various cutting jobs.

Wire Saw

The Wire Saw is not only the oldest tool in our shop, nearing 30 years of service, but also one of the most important. We primarily use this saw for its unique ability to cut through large boulders and for the initial shaping of quarry blocks. Its process may be slower, but for these crucial early production stages, the Wire Saw’s role is indispensable

Large 110 Saw

The Large 110 Saw, equipped with its impressive 9-foot blade, is a powerhouse in our workshop, capable of cutting and shaping a diverse range of materials with ease. It’s our daily workhorse, frequently used for slabbing boulders, quarry blocks, and more. Over time, this saw has built an impressive resume, showcasing the numerous intricate pieces we’ve been able to fabricate with its help. Its daily use underscores its central role in our fabrication process.
