Green River Basalt

Description

Our Green River stone is a basalt quarried from around the Puget Sound areas of Washington.

Characteristics

Mostly presents blocky, angular shapes; some have a heavy texture.

Color varies among these rocks. Some display brown outer skins with a charcoal-colored interior, while others are deep charcoal to black with quartzite mottling or veining. Blue, green, and gray hues may also be present. In some cases, moss and lichens are observed growing on the surface.

Perfect use for walls, feature stones, decorative accents, etc.

Stone is in an unsorted pile ranging from 1man sizing up, but mostly 2man+. **Limited to supply on hand!
