Products - Full Bed Stone Veneer
What does “Full Bed” mean?
In the masonry industry, “full bed” is a frequently used term that describes building stone serving as the complete profile of stone veneer. This type of stone veneer exhibits a bed depth ranging from 2 to 6 inches or more, with a weight of around 40 to 60+ pounds per square foot. In comparison, our Natural Thin Veneer has a bed depth of approximately 1-1/4 inches (+/-) and weighs about 14 pounds per square foot or less.
Given the weight of full bed veneer, it is imperative to ensure that your wall has the appropriate structure to support such a load; otherwise, complications may arise in the future. We recommend consulting with your installer or contractor to determine whether any of our full-bed veneer products are suitable for your project.
In our Full-Bed Veneer options, we have these current styles stocked:
Ledgestone: The stone profile will be naturally parallel on top and bottom and paired with natural ends.
Rubble: The stone profile will be irregular on all sides, creating a very rustic appearance.
River Rock: All edges on this stone have been smoothed by the friction of water, making the surfaces and profile more round in texture and appearance.
